Some bills will have been prefiled by this date so we will learn more about what to expect from the Statehouse in 2025 and how we can advocate for the issues that matter to us.

A regulation proposed by the state board of education went into effect this summer and allows for statewide book bans. So far, 7 books have been banned with more expected soon. FABB is offering a zoom to help  you understand the history of these regulations, what they actually say, and how they are being used. We will also talk about what we can do to stop them.

For our December BBBC, we will forgo reviewing a book and instead do book exchange. Everyone is asked to bring a book that they wish to gift wrapped in paper. On the paper write a few details about the book. We will then do a version of Secret Santa with the books. Also, if everyone would bring an appetizer or sweet treat to share. This will be held at Laura Eggers home in downtown Beaufort on Tues., December 17 at 5:30pm. We hope to see many of you and if you have any questions, please contact
