We are parents, students, librarians, educators, authors and other community members in Beaufort County, SC who directly oppose book bans and educational censorship.
FABB was launched in January 2023 to directly oppose the small group of extremists who effectively banned 97 books from the shelves of Beaufort County public schools.
The freedom to read is an essential right in our democracy and is protected by the Constitution. Censorship and suppressing literature has no place in a free society. We celebrate reading and promote open access to diverse ideas.
